Confetti Crispies:
3 tbsp butter or margarine
2 1/2-cups Rice Krispies cereal
2 1/2-cups Fruity Pebbles cereal
1 cup Quick Oats
1 package miniature marshmallows
Vegetable cooking spray
Mix together cereals and oats and set aside.
Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat.
Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
Remove from heat.
Add cereal mixture and stir until well coated.
Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan, coated with cooking spray.
Cut into 2-inch squares when cool.
The amount of oats is variable depending on your tastes, or if you don't like oats (I LOVE them! ), omit the oats and add an extra 1/2 each of the cereals.
Yield: 24 squares, 2 x 2 inches
To preserve freshness, wrap individual squares in plastic wrap
If you were to make these with only the 2 cereals and no oats, these treats would be VERY sweet. The oats will even out the flavor so it's not too sweet, plus make them more of a cookie-like texture. So I guess they're kind of like a no-bake cookie!
